The Great Leader Atatürk Saved Turkey From The Invasion Of Foreign Powers
The Great Leader. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, Atatürk Saved Turkey from the invasion of foreign powers. By establishing the Turkish Republich and instituting innovations according to his principles, Atatürk was the commander and statesman who made Turkey a strong and civilized country.
He was born in Thessaloniki in 1881 and died 10th of November 1938 at 9:35 a.m. in the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul. With the defeat of the Ottoman Empire during World War I. the British, French, Italians and Greek invaded Turkish national soil. Refusing to accept this defeat and invasion, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk went to Samsun on May 19th,.1919 he then initiated the National Struggle with Erzurum and Sivas Congresses. On December 27,1919 he came to Ankara, the city which he planned to establish as the Center for Turkish State.
Here on April 23 1920 he convened the the Grand National Assembly and was elected chairman. In this respect, the National Struggle movement was completely materialized for the Turkish nation. The decisions of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and disciplined armies which were formed and trained under Atatürk‘s directives won the Inonu and Sakarya wars.
As a result of the Great Attack personally commanded by Atatürk on August 30, 1922, The enemy was driven into the sea. On October 29,1923, the republic was declared and the Grand National Assembly elected Atatürk as the first President of the Country he saved and the new Turkish State he established.
